#45 FROM SEEDS TO TREES: Nurturing Potential and Hope in Education with Zaneta Brown Ingles
// DESCRIPTION
Empowering Students Through Reflection and Belief
In this enriching episode of the Embodied Educator Podcast, I get to talk to Dr. Zaneta Brown Ingles, an accomplished educator passionate about transformative education. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Zaneta shares her journey, the importance of embodying hope, love, and humor in teaching, and the impact of reflective journaling. All supported with such real life and real school examples; from tests stress to feedback culture to od's from vaping.
It's a raw, real and beautiful conversation about what's going on in classrooms, particularly in the US, and what dilemma's educators are facing on a daily basis. We talk about bottom up approaches from an embodied perspective. But Zaneta also brings in strategies for creating safe, inclusive learning environments with insightful practices such as using Claim, Evidence, Reasoning (CER) frameworks and feedback rituals especially related to writing and language difficulties.
Most of all I was touched by her great great great faith - Zaneta embodies the power of believing in students' potential! --> the importance of teacher-student relationships in fostering a collaborative and supportive classroom culture.
